Pull Testing

Also known as pull-out testing and anchor testing, this is a method of assessing the integrity and load-bearing capacity of fixings, fasteners, brackets and anchors. During this process, we apply a controlled tensile load to a ductwork fixing and measure the required force to reach a specific load or to pull it out altogether.

This method verifies that installations meet the relevant safety standards and building regulations.

Preliminary Load Testing

If you are in the design phase of a project or have yet to install your new HVAC or ductwork system, IHSL’s pull tests will help you determine the type of fixings you will require to manage the load.

Proof Load Testing

For projects where the fixings have already been installed, we provide independent inspection, testing and certification to ensure that the current anchors are strong and reliable enough to hold the system securely in place.

Upon completion, our pull test technicians will issue a BS 8538 and CFA compliant test report.
